Concurrent Job Functions

QuEST Global

Rockford, IllinoisFebruary 2015 to August 2016

QuEST Global is a Singapore-based provider of secure team-building and project management services to the aerospace and defense industry. The lead contractor on my projects was UTC (United Technologies) Aerospace Systems.

QuEST “often challenges team members to temporarily work outside the scope of their primary job functions.” This enabled me to quickly progress from my initial Office Manager position to managing teams and improving processes in two other roles, concurrently:

Project Coordination Manager

  • Trained staff in multiple departments, including: HR; payroll; project management; IT; and engineering
  • Trained team members—including team leads—in areas including management practices and software operations
  • Led a nationwide team tasked with improving efficiency
Accomplishments
  • Led a cross-functional team in developing a cloud-based application for company-wide use
  • Developed a SharePoint site that automated many key processes
  • Greatly improved process efficiency in such areas as on-boarding, off-boarding, and classified system access
  • Pioneered and maintained a relationship, for QuEST, with Central Engineering and Human Resources at UTC Aerospace Systems

Identity Management System (IdM) Manager

Coordinated closely with UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) Central Engineering to complete all employee on-boarding procedures, including:

  • Setting up LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) and IdM accounts
  • Establishing employee access to classified UTAS systems
  • Performing Exostar identity authentication, credentialing, and access, including supplier identity access
Exostar is a SharePoint-based, enterprise-class, security enhanced project collaboration platform
Accomplishments
  • Devised and executed process improvements that saved QuEST $2-million annually
Assessed by QuEST Technology Excellence Group
  • Raised and maintained the accuracy and efficiency levels of the UTAS Identity Management System
Accomplished through the integration of SharePoint utilities
UTAS subsequently endorsed adoption of this approach to all of its suppliers
  • Integrated the IQNavigator—now a division of beeline—Vendor Management System into existing UTAS systems
Significantly enhancing UTAS global talent management capabilities
